What are the Fun Cruise?
Very popular with bachelor/bachelorette parties, our fun cruises are a great and inexpensive way to get out on the water and enjoy the lake. Offering day and night cruises, the day fun cruises go to three bars and the night bar hop cruises go to two bars. These are really popular and sell out weeks ahead during summer months.
What bars do the cruises stop at?
Although we do not guarantee which bars the cruises will stop at, we do have a schedule with popular bars that we try to stick to. Because the schedule can change due to weather or other events outside our control, we do not list the bars here. If you would like to know the scheduled stops for a specific cruise and date give us a call and we will be happy to help.
How does the Water Taxi work?
Carrying up to 36 passengers and running similar to a cab on land, we can pick your group up at any dock, private or commercial, and take you to where you want to go. Currently, our water taxi covers from Bagnell Dam to the 14-mile marker and the Gravois Arm. When calling for a reservation we will need your pick up address, where you want to go and how many are in your group. Suggestion: It is best to make a reservation a few days in advance as we do turn people down when our schedule gets full.
What is the Coconut Shuttle?
We have several groups that want to spend the day at Coconuts Caribbean Beach Bar & Grill. If this sounds like you, hop aboard our boat at Toad Cove for a 30-minute ride to the Coconuts Pool Party. At Coconuts you will find great food, drinks, and entertainment. On the property, they also have a gift shop, sand volleyball, kids pool, lodging, and boat rental. After you’ve had a fun day in the sun we’ll pick you up for a 30-minute ride back to Toad Cove. You can find pricing, departure times and book online on our booking page.
What is the Charter Service?
Chartering a boat is a great option for corporate or large groups, or if you just want a private boat party. You’re in charge! Tell us where you want to go then relax and enjoy the lake. We have 36 and 49 passenger boats. Be aware that our boats are not set up to cove out or swim off of, but there are several great waterfront pool bars that we can go to.
What is the new Extreme Lake Tour?
The Extreme Lake Tour is our newest service running every Friday, Saturday and holiday Sundays. Jump aboard a 55' Offshore Race Boat for an exciting ride on this beautiful lake. With almost 1,000 horsepower and surface piercing race drives this exhilarating boat will give you a ride you won't soon forget.
Can I bring a cooler onboard?
No, due to safety concerns & liability issues coolers or bags of beer are not allowed on any Playin Hooky cruise or shuttle. No hard liquor is allowed on any Playin Hooky boat at any time. We do have a large selection of beverages available for purchase on the boat at very reasonable prices.
Are reservations required?
It is recommended to make reservations. The cruises can be booked online on our website and do sell out, sometimes weeks ahead. For the water taxi, you can call when you want a ride but because we get very busy on weekends there are times that we have to turn people down because we just can’t get to everyone. Because of this, we recommended making reservations before you get to the lake.
Are kids or minors allowed on the Bar Hop Cruises?
Yes, Minors are welcome on our day time Bar Hop Cruise as the bars are all family-friendly during the day. Please be advised that the minimum drinking age is 21 in the bars and on our boat. We are strictly regulated by the USCG and water patrol and any minors caught drinking on our boat will be dropped off at the closest dock available which would require that person/persons to find an alternative mode of transportation without any monies being refunded.
